Best read aloud, many of the poems strive to set up a  rhythmic cadence that is just as vital to the poem as the words, similar to poets like Langston Hughes or Gwendolyn Brooks. Repetition of certain lines emphasizes the theme of each poem, mostly about sexuality, whether emotional or physical.
