Max and the Bear – Pam Saxelby

Illustrated by Stephen AdamsMB-PS

Before Max was born, Bear was waiting to be loved. Half blanket, half stuffed animal, Bear is a quiet, soft, cuddly friend who is often overlooked for other toys that make noise or have twinkling lights. But one night, when Max is upset and almost inconsolable, Bear comes to the rescue.

Sweetly drawn illustrations accompany a story that could be informative to parents as well as tell the story of the soft, cuddly toy. Sometimes, one needs a little quiet and a soft touch to cure the grumps.
